LOL, not sure whether it's really critical to us whether it goes or stays. I can see the reasons why abandoning the leap second would be advantageous.
Really? Go on - tell me then!;)
I'm not bothered either way - I am happy for those that may be affected argue it out.
If they do drop it, then in 500 years when we've lost a year they can just do what some countries do every year, and move the time forward by an hour :)
