Whilst she sat their in her beautiful, crisp-packet-decorated nest - he was out working hard, collecting new sticks. When he got back he tried very hard to get the new stick onto the nest - but couldn't make it through all the branches with it sticking out of his mouth :)
Really good series Louise, love the nest building materials. :) The sad note is that the empty crisp packets are probably all to readily available and not biodegradable.
Yes, another nest that I caught had some form of bag as well :(
But maybe you have actually found the very rare Podiceps Crispatus, Louise!;)
