No photos, but a couple of nice sightings
Was meeting a customer in a close to town centre mature residential area, when we looked across the road and saw a male Sparrowhawk land on the front gable of the house opposite, he stayed for a while, enough time for me to get out the binoculars and line him up.
I looked at him, he looked at me, then I passed the binoculars to my customer, he looked at the Sparrowhawk and the Sparrowhawk looked back at him, this went on for several minutes, the little guy didn't seem to mind us looking at all and just returned our stares.:)
He obviously got fed up with the staring after a while though and flew off, so I continued with my aerial install at the top of scaffold on a tall three storey Victiorian semi.
Whilst rigging the mast on the large chimney, I was being serenaded by a Goldfinch on the adjacent property's aerial, but after a while the song changed and on looking across (not more than 10 metres away), I saw that the serenader had changed to a Siskin, first time I've ever seen one singing.:)
Apart from twisting my knee again, it was a pleasant morning, given the entertainment.:)
