Bowdown Woods Nature reserve - Greenham Common

This woodland reserve is situated adjacent to Greenham common and is the largest of the Berks, Bucks and Oxon Wildlife Trust woodland reserves.

Spent an hour or so on a circular walk this morning and although I didn't get many photos, I thoroughly enjoyed it, was a bit testing on my bad knee though, as the walk descends into and climbs out of the valley, at present the wood is awash with Snowdrops.

Was following a couple of Long-tailed Tits in the branches above.

Some small bird activity in the canopy caught my eye and I managed a couple of quick shots of a Goldcrest.

Towards the end of the walk, I encountered a Roe Deer Buck and enjoyed a staring out session, but as soon as I lifted the camera he was off.:)

Can't wait to go back in Spring to capture some Butterfly and Dragonfly photos.:)
