i spotted five tiny moorhen chicks on the canal, near to where i live. i saw them yesterday whilst walking my dog. they were grouped together in the reeds, the parent in the middle and the five chicks stood around her. it was a perfect photo opportunity...... you know the ones you get when you haven't got your camera with you!!!. anyway i went back today with my camera.
they're cute, in an ugly sort of way, are'nt they!!
Yes very cute andy and I'm sure their parents love them, lovely photos. Glad they were still there when you went back so you could get your pics. :)

I haven't seen any ducklings this year. It hardly surprises me when though idiots sit by the pond and send there dogs into chase the ducks
Aah, bless. Mind you, looking at these (and the goslings I was looking at the other day), I can really see how they came from dinosaurs :)

louise, i wasthinking the same myself. i had a shot of the chick with its' very stubby little wings raised. the just reminded me of the tiny t-rex arms.
.. and those legs - pretty darn solid - you're right - T-Rex!!
