Taken on our first visit to the East Lancs Railway in October 2006, I just love the place
That's a cracker Babs. Nice one
there's been a bit of a steam theme today has'nt there!
there are railway enthusiasts doing their bit to keep the age of steam alive for the next generations to come. we took our grandson to embsay railway at skipton. here at bank holidays they do a thomas the tank engine special.
you can have a ride on a steam train to the next station up the line, which is bolton abbey. ( which by the way is a beautiful spot for walking and wildlife)
the kids love it.
I think it must be a great hobby if you could spare the time, Greg would love to do it, the nearest he ever got was his own model railway Skipton is one of my favourite places but I didn't know that there were steam engines there.............I always tend to head for the castle
Excellent Babs. You would never fail to impress me with steam train pics and certainly didn't fail here.
If I could remember so far back in time I could well have spent many, many hours on this little chap on the shunt at Heysham Harbour......the number 47324 certainly rings a bell.
Thanks for showing us this Babs.
Pete.
Wow, I do hope so Pete that would be amazing wouldn't it if this is one that you actually worked on. Thanks for your comment...............see what youv'e started with your Midnight Express
