i went out, before breakfast, most mornings on holiday in fuerteventura.
it only gets light around 7-10 a.m. so real eraly ventures, weren't possible as it would have still been dark. a quick 45-50 min, scan of the local terrain, was usually only as much as i could manage, before the rest of my family were up and ready for breakfast.
this particular morning i was just thinking that there was'nt much about. a great grey shrike caught my eye. as i was fousing on this, i noticed what i thought was a rabbit move between the rocks.
closer inspection revealed not one, but two stone curlews.
they where very hard to digiscope as they ran about like 'the roadrunner' beep beep !!
