Just an everyday shot of an everyday wild flower, trouble is I'm pretty hopeless with this subject but can tell you it was in a damp wooded area......Help!
Pete.
I don't know what that is . Sorry Hopeless with plants
Will show it to the Oracle a little later.
Asked the Oracle and she reckons it is Ajuga reptans - Bugle.
This site would appear to confirm that.
You are a star Rolf.
Though I was wrong I won't hide the fact I would have guessed Skullcap......same family (mint) and requires the same habitat needs (damp/wet ground). Thanks for this Rolf, nothing worse than seeing something you can't id.
Pete.
No Credit to me I'm afraid Pete, all down to the Oracle.
Absolutely correct there Rolf, and I really did intend the post to read 'You're a star Rolf (or should that be the Oracle is?).
Sincere apologies the THE ORACLE.
Pete.
