    Default Slightly clearer Water Rail

    Managed a slightly better shot today from the Teal hide at Lavell's Lake, but they don't seem to like open areas and dash between reed clusters. Makes it very difficult to focus.

    In fact I was lucky to catch it, was just about to go and it suddenly appeared next to a Moorhen I'd been watching.

    Nor had I until a couple of weeks ago, or i may have at a distance and dismissed it as a Moorhen. Still got a target of getting a better picture though.

    The equipment I use is a Canon 30D with Sigma 50-500mm lens. I also have a garden hide from which I take most of my pictures.
