Has any one seen a yellow-faced Blackcap?
Nope, unless he or she has been foraging in some yellow flowers.
I have seen a yellow-faced male on the web sit that frequenly visits some ons garden in London Male.
I captured the female to day. Nope. It hasn't been foraging . it has a lovely little fluffy yellow face. Confuse me at first . So thought I would ask
Well it's either a rare abnormality, or it has delved into something yellow, the latter seems more likely by the photos. Blackcap
That is what I am tryingto find out. I have seen a photo of a male the same as mine as I said.
I don't want to upload a photo that could be a rarity at the moment.
It's probably Mahonia pollen

dont know if those things help at all...
Thanks Billy.
Yes, that's why I suggested him having been delving in flowers see http://www.thamesvalleybirds.co.uk/b...y-mahonia.html , the Blue tits in my garden also feed on the flowers, although I've never seen them with any pollen colouring.
I don't have a garden so pollen wouldn't have entered my head unless suggested. Once it was suggested and that these little bird particularly like Mahonia . I would have realized straight away . I have never associated birds with pollen you see
Thanks any how
