Yes great photos, I think that's mainly where I've seen grass snakes, superb swimmers.
I was waiting for the reed warblers at the time when it swam across the water. (Right time and place.)
Beautiful creatures - what a nice catch. I have tried to catch one in the water but it wasn't successful, but these are great. We are lucky in this country to not have much in the way of dangerous snakes, but unlucky that we don't have many snakes at all.
