Not bad chocky, prices seem good. I use www.redstore.com for a lot of computer stuff, plus www.7dayshop.co.uk for photographic bits and pieces, batteries etc.
I'm going to have a look ad redstore. 7 day shop never seams to sell what I need/
SPV is quite small but there discs and inks are really goos. I have bought quite a few thing there.

Don't know I'm afraid, as I haven't got one.
Update, try www.mailorderbatteries.com
This site does what I think is a replacement with extended life.
I use Battery Force for all my batteries.Prices are good and there is usually next day delivery.www.battery-force.co.uk

That's not good enough . you will have to go out and buy a camcorder. Mind you if you ware happy with you cameras movies you don't need to. I like making films and funnies but then I have always been daft. My poetry tells one that.
I'll try the above sites. Thanks
Oh right thanks DD

I have a JVC GR-D225EK.I doubt you will find any reference to it on the web, I never did.The local co-op were selling them off for 130 quid about 18 months ago.Its pretty good. Its off to America for 3 weeks at the end of the month.Sadly I wont be with it,a friend is borrowing it.
Oh dear. My old one is off to the tech guys . It only uses tapes and the mechanism is a bit ropey as I have been paying for the cover I might as well have it service then flog it.
MY new one is in the equipment thread at the bottom
Do you mean this one

And how does one clear the hard drive of the camcorder? please
It appears that not only do I have probs with the wildlife bit, guess I cant work a search engine either. Thanks for the info Chocky.
Was going to get a new vid camera this back end, but because I kept nicking toots's laptop when I ventured down to the caravan, she decided that the first priority was a laptop for myself.
Can I clear my camcorders hard drive through my pc whilst it is connected?
You can delete it, but dont format it through the pc
Ok but how do I delete it How what do I go to?
P. S. It's ok I have worked it all out. All trial videos are now deleted and hard drive vlear.

well done gal. enjoy your new toy.would love to see some of your original footage as opposed to watching it on you tube
How.?
I can't put them on my web site, it takes up too much space,
I can send you some home made movies if you like . Have some sensible ones and some daft ons if you would like.
You will Love pigeons in the park. Lol You will like all of my movies so will toots
Have just made a new film with my new camcorder.
Rather amusing. may upload it......later
would appreciate you sending some footage Chocky.I dont do a lot of video work and it would be nice to look through someone elses efforts. They never look the same when they are heavily compressed.
Ok. I have put loads on a CD and have a couple of DVDs I made will packthem up today and as soon as this courier collects my Old Camcorder I'll go and post them to you. I think I have your address some where If not I'll PM you.
I have uploaded the Galloping Egret. I may change it at dome point I have spelt the title wrong on the video( story of my life)
AS for a battery I think the one I have is a very long life but I'll bare in mind the above sites
Found it DD. Videos will be on the way soon as I can get out of the house
No I haven't, they don't stock batteries for the E-system.
Oh. Well it seams an OK site. (better be )
Yes it looks pretty popular.
Their security is pretty tight. I enterd a pass word and when I had mad my oreder the wanted the first 3 letters of it, then wouldn't accept it so I had to go through an entirely different process with different questions, new pass wordetc. I passed that one OK.
What is an E - System ?
7 Day Shop don't seam to deal with hitachi
My camera is an Olympus E-System camera.
Oh. Why is it called a System camera?
I gave my Olympus to my son. It was a 2 mpgpxl but really good. He's happy. my Kodak I gave to Matt. My Konica Z6. I still have . It's worth more to keep it than to flog it. I'm a bit camera mad. Well what else have I got to do . No one to control me.
Like you I am my own boss
E-System is Olympus's name for their Four Thirds cameras, three manufacturers use this standard, Olympus, Leica and Panasonic.
Oh I see.
well not really I'm actually none the wiser. I take it by thirds you can be far more accurate as it gives you that golden rectangle (So to speak) which makes a picture in proportion sort of thing. ( or some thing like that
Nope, has nothing to do with that.
Four thirds relates to the sensor in the camera, that is why a 300 mm lens is equivalent to a 600mm lens on a standard 35mm camera.
I have just been reading about the rule of thirds .I guess that's different to the four thirds
Telecentric systems in order to achieve dimensional and geometric invariance of images within a range of different distances from the lens and across the whole field of view.
So it's geometric and mathematical
But I don't think I'll need to get into it myself.
