Sorry, but another HDR Landscape from me....
I really like the way this one has come off! Hope you like it
Very nice. Good capture.
Thank you Chocky
Your welcome. I only have one landscape and that was hasa rainbow reflection in the estuary.I thought it rather fun capturing a rainbow and it's reflection I'm not too good with landscapes.
Excellent Spooks, is it possible to get enough exposures from a single bracketed shot?
Yes Rolf it is. This image was a single capture, which I imported into CS in its RAW format. I adjusted the exposure to -2.0, saved the file, set expsure to 0 and saved under different name, and then set exposure to +2, and again saved under a different name.
Next I used the PhotoMatix software to generate the High Definition image.
Finally I tweaked the levels in Photoshop.
Hope this helps you or anyone else
I'm just wondering whether the camera's bracketing facility will produce enough variation, will have to look into it. I tend not to shoot RAW due to the size of the files.
Just checked, it gives me three exposures with 1 EV either way.
looking forward to seeing some of your shots, rolf
Is 1 EV either way going to be enough contrast though Spooks?
Rolf, do you use lightroom or photoshop at all? If so, you can actually just take one exposure as normal, then in either of the above, you can adjust the exposure to get somewhere near what you need. You then just need to save each individual photo. Then you can add them into an HDR program.
As far a 1EV either way, I am not sure. Best thing to do is just give it a go. I will have a go too a little later today.
Rolf, here is a link that you can download a free trial version of an HDR Program. Just tried myself and am very impressed. The only limits are is a small text message in the bottom left corner, and will not let you save .hdr files, but you can export the image to Photoshop etc....

Ok thanks, have downloaded it, will try taking a couple of RAW images tomorrow and then come back and play with them. The bracket feature on the camera doesn't seem to give me three images, I'm sure I've had it working before though.
If your camera funtions the same as my 300D Rolf, not only do I need to set ther plus and minus for the exposure I also have to put the camera into multi-shot mode
Yes, discovered that last night and when I thought about it, it has to do it by either opening/closing the shutter aperture, or increasing/decreasing the shutter speed, so it has to take multiple shots. Just me forgetting how the camera works.
