It's very like a female Stonechat - Saxicola torquata - but seems smaller, and with some markings missing....
But I AM trying.![]()
It's very like a female Stonechat - Saxicola torquata - but seems smaller, and with some markings missing....
But I AM trying.![]()
Yes it is very like but it is not exactly what I was asking for![]()
Try again, not that far from the answer I want :D
Well that looks like a Whinchat, Saxicola rubetra.
All those Saxicola look (more or less) the same.
This is a Vitgumpad buskskvättaSaxicola maurus
Stay tuned![]()
I ruled out Whinchat as the last pic was too pale and both pics lacked the eye markings shown on the RSPB and other sites!
So, 'Siberian Stonechat'! Can I not get half a point there?![]()
Point´s taken
Try this one for more points
Great Black-backed Gull juvenile? - Larus marinus
Close !
Next![]()
Ok, I'm going to try Yellow-legged Gull - Larus michahellis - even though I can't see its legs!![]()
That´s what I wanted to read
Medelhavstrut Larus michahellis
A nice bird, well done !
Try this !
Not that easy me Think![]()
Looks like a Spotted Redshank - Tringa erythropus - but I guess that would be too easy.....![]()
It was not easy - if You know
Svartsnäppa Tringa erythropus
Well done !
Time for a new bird![]()
Not really sure about this one, only thing I can think of is female Scarlet Rosefinch, Carpodacus erynthrinus.
It seems to have the beak of a Shrike though ...................
I'm trying female Woodchat Shrike - Lanius senator
But that will possibly just make Rolf look good again...![]()
Have all about this bird at workso we all have to wait until Monday
![]()
Hope the waiting did not stress You ?
Rödhuvad törnskata Lanius senator
Well done !
A Monday bird !

Good finding.![]()
It is (as always) time for a new bird.
This one is somewhat "special"![]()
Raven? - Corvus corax.....
No, this is a BIG bird![]()
This bird is not common up here, still we see them every now and then.
It´s a Very Big Bird
One more pic
Well, it's neither a Stepps Eagle, nor a White-tailed one, so any clues at all - P-l-e-a-s-e!![]()
Well I guess I have to spill the beans. This is not a common birdeven if we see one every now and then.
Jättehavsörn]Haliaeetus pelagicus
Jätte in Swedish means Gigant and it sure is, like a small aeroplan
Stay tuned
Ahh, that would explain ie, couldn't find anything like it.Magnificent bird though.
Steller's Sea Eagle? Lovely bird! Should get half a mark for saying 'Eagle' twice, and the White-tailed Eagle is a Sea Eagle too!![]()
Well, I told You it was a special one
Hope this bird is a better one![]()
That looks more recognisable, how about a Guillemot Uria aalge?
Guillemot Uria aalge, sillgrissla in Swedish
Well done !
A Monday bird !![]()
Really not much idea of what that is, perhaps some sort of Sandgrouse, Pterocles?
No, it is not. They do look the same, many of them water birds![]()
