I took this picture in my garden a summer or two ago with the macro lens.
I believe it's a dragonfly as they hold their wings out at rest. A damselfly thends to hold hers by her side.
Nice photo jimbo, really nice detail.
My class researched dragonsfly vision, and then I made them draw a picture of the object from the dragonfly perspective. I also showed them some kind of device, that the science teacher let me borrow, to show how they see the world. Kids liked it.
It ia an Emporor Deagonfly.
I think a female as it has ovipositors on it's tail
I can't tell the difference but it's an impressive capture jimbo, well done
mails are blue and don't have ovipositors.
