On my Guernsey trip last week.
Fascinating shots, Joe!
It shows the base of its neck and its breastbone are very low in its flying profile, and how they help it turn a tall, gangly bird into a very successful aerodynamic shape. Its power and grace in flight are also obvious. How clever it is to know to tuck in its neck and straighten its toes to make it all work.
I wouldn't stand a chance up there!
Me neither (bulge around the midriff)
Nice one Joe, like the second picture in particular, they are quite impressive in flight.
