Default Popped out to take a few photos on Saturday

Finished work mid afternoon and as it was still light, I had a stroll through the woods and out onto the meadow at the top of Sulham hill.

Didn't get many photos and the one which would have been a cracker had I have managed to get close enough was of a Great-spotted Woodpecker and Fieldfare at the top of a tree, unfortunately a Green Woodpecker decided that at 100 yards away I was too close and flew off in a panic, flushing the two target.

So all I managed was a couple of photos of a very obliging Dunnock and a long distance shot of the GSW and Fieldfare.

Lovely Dunnock pics, Rolf - and great to capture the two in that last pic together!

Would have been even better had the Green Woodpecker stayed to pose as well of course....

It's so annoying when that happens - Wood Pigeons are TERRIBLE at doing that - touchy little beggars.....

Yes, you can almost hear them screaming "we're all gonna die!" as they fly off.
