Default Great tits found hunting bats for food

In British gardens they are welcome visitors, stopping off to sing and snack on the caterpillars. But in a remote cave in Hungary they are exhibiting some unusual behavior. There, great tits have turned into predators who search out and eat roosting bats.

Very interesting story Beryl, good to see that they soon switched back to standard food when available.

Yes An insectivore is a type of carnivore with a diet that consists chiefly of insects and similar small creatures.
But I guess if hungry enough will go for bigger prey . If we stopped using all these pesticides there would not be a lack of food for these little insectivore birds.
Also They like seeds and fat balls so keep your garden stocked up
