    Olympus E-30, Sigma 50-500mm Lens, Sigma 150mm Macro lens, Zuiko 70-300mm lens, Sigma 50mm F1,4 lens, Extension tube, 1.4x tele-converter, Carbon FibreTripod, Monopod, Vanguard Binoculars, Celestron 80F-ED Scope, Remembird recorder.

    Default Red Kites Near Watlington, Oxfordshire.

    Was working out in the country all day today and took 20 minutes off to try and get some pictures of the 6 Red Kites which were patrolling the surrounding farmland.

    Fantastic! Although I love to see their patterning, my fave is the 5th one where you can't see much of that at all... but I love the twisting. Mind you, I also love to see the 2 flying together

    My favourites?..... 1, 6 and 7 - for different reasons!

    1 - Great photo!
    5 - Shows those strong wings, but moreso the twist of the tail to turn in flight
    6 - And they all lived happily ever after.

    I was washing up the other day when I spotted a pair of Kites flying overhead, and as I luckily had the camera by the door (and on), I whipped off the rubber gloves and took a few shots. Mostly a little fuzzy, but it was lovely to see them wheeling about together. Don't they get close!!!!!

    Oh yes, some excellent flight shots, love watching them in aerial concert.
