Default How to post photographs on the forum

First of all, we ask that you upload photos to the forum, please don't link to them from your Flickr or Photobucket accounts, we are of course happy for you to link to your account in your signature.

So here's how to do it on the main forum

First of all type your description text.

Scroll down the page to Manage Attachments If adding a post using quick reply, you need to go to advanced mode to see the Attachment Manager.

Name:	manageattachments.jpg
Views:	467
Size:	51.8 KB
ID:	1458

Use either the Browse Button and browse for the photograph on your hard drive (if this window doesn't open, check that you have not blocked popups from this site), or paste the URL of the photo into the space provided if you use an online photo storage site. Click on Upload and wait for the files to appear.

Name:	upload.jpg
Views:	474
Size:	68.1 KB

You will then see the list of uploaded photos close the upload window and finish your post.

The photo/photos will then be displayed as a thumbnail/thumbnails at the bottom of the post (see below), or inserted into the post as above if you use the attach function symbolised by the paper clip at the top of the advanced window.

Please resize images so that the longest dimension is 1280 pixels or smaller. If you have problems resizing an image, download pixresizer , with this tool, you can resize single or multiple photographs with the click of a button, or Faststone Photo Resizer, one of the best tools around and they're both free.

Here's how to do it for our Gallery

    First click on upload.
