    Default Hello

I have only recently found this site and it looks really good. I have a keen interest in birdwatching and recently started to take photos of the birds I see. I do most of my photography by digiscoping although I do possess a Nikon F1 (film) camera and a 500mm reflective lens.

Digital photography via a scope is so simple and can achieve fairly reasonable results that this tends to be my weapon of choice.

It may interest some of you that I made my own adapter for the scope out of an old paint roller. Yes thats what I said, a paint roller!

I generally go birdwatching once a month and will travel anything up to 150 miles to visit a reserve or dare I say, a rare bird.

Anyway, I look forward to posting images, thoughts and ideas from now on.

    wild goose.

Hi there Wild Goose. Welcome to the site.
You home made adapter sounds interesting. My brother made a telescope from a large heavy duty cardboard tube. Probably one that had a bolt of material, then took pictures of the moon and turned mother's bathroom into a dark room. The thing we do to improvis.
Any how we are a nice friendly bunch and hope you enjoy the site

Hi wild goose, good to see you here and look forward to seeing your digiscoping results, as it's something I haven't tried.
