    Hiya

right so i thought id ask you wise and wonderful people -- if you suddenly had 300 quid to buy a bit of kit for your camera, what would you choose? Long lens, extra batterys, new bag??

Olympus Evolt E520, and borrowed lenses and flash. Fuji Finepix S7000 for Macro A chair :)

For me it would be no big question - I have yet to run out of battery power and the storage/carry bags I have (although could be improved), work fine. I could do with a larger memory card, but one extra would be enough.. so a new lens would be the order of the day.
I would either go for a macro (my macro-filters work OK, but not as good quality as I would like), or a close-up for portrait work.

So..... does that mean that you have a spare £300

Yep same here, although for me to extend my telephoto lens capability would require a substantial amount over and above £300. Certainly a macro lens would be useful, or perhaps a teleconverter.
