    Default Glossy Ibis at Stanpit

    Just in case anyone is near Christchurch just now, a Glossy Ibis has been sighted each day of the past 5 at Stanpit Nature Reserve there!

    Dorset Bird Club - Latest Sightings

    It must have lost its way as it should be en route to Africa just now.

    I think they prefer pub-watching to birdwatching!

    Well, it seems that the Glossy Ibis has left the area now - but guess where it was on Sunday? Yes, Christchurch harbour area - and we were on a river trip down there (see the pic at the top of the link at the start of this thread), but didn't see him!

    Maybe he's in one of the pics I posted on the 'Stanpit Marsh' thread the other day.......?
