    Just your average news hound.

Post Pangbourne to host RSPB international speaker on 14 June

    News from the RSPB site

Curious about what is the RSPB doing to protect rainforest in Sumatra, vultures in India, and endangered albatrosses? Come to a talk by Ian Barber from the RSPB's international team in Pangbourne on Tuesday 14 June.

What is the RSPB doing to protect rainforest in Sumatra, and vultures in India? How are longline fisheries across the globe pushing albatrosses towards extinction and what can be done to save them? And why are some endangered birds monitored by tracking their tiny footprints, instead of their calls?

Ian Barber from the RSPB’s international team will be visiting Pangbourne, near Reading, on Tuesday 14 June to talk about these and other issues that the charity is tackling across the globe as part of the network of organisations that make up BirdLife International.

The event runs from 8 pm to 10 pm at Pangbourne Village Hall, and will include short, illustrative film clips.
