    Phone or my Canon

    Default Internet problems

    Very strange problem.
Installed a new fresh copy of Win 7 -64 bits (tried to load 32 but the new motherboard was running 64 so no choice)
Did not find any drivers for my wireless LAN card that was working in 64 bits so I invested in a new but still same problem. It finds the router for a second or two then it fails - there are no connections to find is the answer. Tested with my smartphone and was up and running NP at all so all problem lies with the Window 7 and wifi card.

I am working on it but , as we are moving out from this old house and into something smaller I do have a time problem

Anyway -work this week-so I will be around for a while. Can always use the Mrs computer as it is connected by cable (I can use it when it is free)

    That is awful.

Never mind, I'm glad you've found a way to get back online now and again.

*Idea* Give Mrs Crister a nice bundle of euros and suggest she goes into town to pick a new dress/other. If she's like most ladies, that will take a few hours - giving you lots of time to use her computer!

OK - expensive way to get online, but I'm sure you'll think of other ideas too....

Now I know why I donīt have no internet. Suddenly the wifi router could not connect to my usual place. I tried everything with my computer as the problem started there with the Thor visit but it turned out that something must have happened to that area
Decided to test with some cable connection so I moved the computer to the router and suddenly I was online using wifi.
Canīt understand what happened in my regular computer room ! Must rush downtown and get me an antenna for the router.

    Strange is it not ??

In my experience, computers are devious - unfriendly beasts which will steadfastly resist being tamed and, unreliable and furtive in character, by linking together, are programmed to control the world.

(Did someone once write a story about that? Would make a good horror film!)
