    An interesting story is portrayed here Beryl. No sense of respect/sympathy/understanding in nature, and they can inflict much more severe injury than this.

    Yes. I saw one alone beside a female he ha drowned one day. Wouldn't leave her. I think they need to see the carcase taken away before they can carry on with life. I know a swan will say beside it's mate or sibling until it has been taken away so do equine
