    By the way Beryl, do you have the 'red' in your neck of the woods. I've had some nice encounters with them in the Lakes but it's ages since I last saw one and am well overdue seeing my next one.

    There's a tragic story about a colony at Formby near Liverpool. I don't know too much history about them here but they are immensely popular with thousands of visitors each year. But they have contracted some disease somehow or other and the threat of them being wiped out completely appears to be a certainty by all accounts......this terrible.
