    This lovely chocolate brown bird has me intrigued
    I took 4 shots.here is one of them.I thik it most probably a female house Sparrow but not 100%

    You have a habit of showing pics which intrigue me Beryl. Can't make much of this but suggest it's not a House Sparrow and has an interesting eye stripe. You should show these pics to the experts you tell us about who you see quite regularly it seems......this has the potential of a rarity.

    Think it must be a trick of the light Beryl, as it certainly looks like a sparrow.

    The equipment I use is a Canon 30D with Sigma 50-500mm lens. I also have a garden hide from which I take most of my pictures.

    Beryl I tend to agree with rolf and Blue Jay, I would say a 'female House Sparrow'.

    Yes me too . Thank you Babs . Funny looking expression in the second pic. I was certain it was a House Sparrow but not 100% and I had the light through the twigs
