    Default Moorhen - Gallinula chloropus

    There's a pair that hang about this lock, but as soon as you move to wards them they run.. this was one time I got reasonably close. What I love about them is whether running or swimming they strain their neck and head forward as though they are moving against the wind. Makes me laugh

    I reckon it's to do with positioning the legs more to the rear, leaning forward would immediately achieve this.
